Drones (Unmanned Aircraft Systems UAS)
The FAA now requires unmanned aircraft systems (UAS, sUAS or drones) that are used for business purposes to be operated by an FAA certified pilot! Our inspectors have gone through the training and testing process and are FAA certified sUAS pilots. For more info go to www.faa.gov/uas/.
We use drones to assist us with our property inspections. We also offer a separate hourly drone & pilot service for clients that need a drone to reach inaccessible areas but want their own personnel to conduct the inspection via our hi-def images that are broadcast live from the drone's camera.
Unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), commonly known as drones, are legal for people to fly for recreational use and now for business use. Mounted with cameras, drones are being used for property inspections, surveillance, emergency rescue, fire safety, disaster management, and even filmmaking. The applications for home and commercial property inspections are numerous, such as for inspecting roofs (especially those with several pitches), as well as getting a bird's-eye view of the surrounding property.
This is the DJI Phantom 4, one of the world's most advanced drone. It has a HD camera mounted to that can zoom in, rotate, and move up and down. After careful consideration, this is the drone that we chose to use for our inspections.
